Linking your blog to Google+

 
Click on the Google+ tab to get started with google+and blogger.


Click on Get started


If you are not yet on Google+ you follow the steps shown below.

If you are already on google+, your profile will be shown, you wont need to upgrade your profile.
After you configure your google+ settings.


Check the boxes in order to automatically share after posting,prompt to share after posting and use google+ comments on the blog.

To unlink your blog from google+ click on the Disable Google+ link.

Blogger layout

 
The layout enables you to set the way your blog looks like (arrangement of the blog)

Navigate to the layout tab
This is how the layout section looks like;


Click on the Add gadget to add a new gadget to the layout.

Scroll down to see more gadgets, click on the + button to add the gadget to the layout. Try it out.
Click on more gadgets to see additional gadgets or add your own.

Position or moving the gadgets.

 You can easily move gadgets anywhere on the layout.
Hover the cursor where the red arrow is pointed and the cursor will change to that shown in the picture below. click and then move the gadget to your preferred location on the layout.

Adding an image

 You can add images to your post to make it look nice or convey a given message. You can upload an image from your computer hard disk, the web by entering the URL,From the blog,picasa web albums, your phone or your webcam.

From the formating tool bar click the image icon and you will be prompted to select how to insert the image.


Select a file

Click on Choose file to browse your computer and locate where the image is saved and then double click on it to insert it.

  • Click on left,right or center to customize how your text will follow around the image.
  • The image size options determine how large the image will appear on the post.

Adding a Video

Click on the video icon to add a video to your post.

 You can upload a video from your computer, Youtube, your youtube videos, phone or webcam
Click on Choose a video to upload

Write your first post

 To start writing a post click on the orange pencil.


You will then see the post editor. Start by giving your post a title, it is optional and then type or write the post.


Format your post by using the editing features such as bold, italics and alignment as in word processing softwares.

Preview to see what you have done so far, when its fine click on Publish.

Overview
This is where you find the blogs activity, news and tips from the blogger team. On the left side there are different tabs you can explore,On the right there are the updates and below in the middle is the News from blogger.

Blogger Dashboard:Quick start

 
Dashboard.

Your dashboard will look like this:

This is your starting point. All your blogs are listed here. To start a blog click on New blog.

Enter the title an address of your new blog and select a template (For starters you can take the default template). When your done Click on create Blog.

Your now good to go. You can also create a New blog. To start blogging click on the drop down menu to see the other options. To create a post click on posts on on the the read icon with a pencil.

Starting up a blog

 
 Create a blog using Blogger


 A blog can easily be created using various online services which include Blogger by google, Blog.com and wordpress etc.
This guide is going to walk you through how to create a blog on blogger.
All you need is a google account(Gmail account) if you have one sign in or if you do not have one create one now.

Go to www.blogger.com and you will be prompted to sign in with your google account.
Enter your username and password to proceed.


You maybe prompted to choose the profile option. Select the option that fits you



Option one enables you to share your content on google plus after publishing.
For this tutorial I chose option 2, blogger profile, which i can later upgrade to the google+ profile.


Choose a Display Name and then click continue to blogger.

 You will be redirected to your Dashboard.
